Classic Banana Split Dessert

A timeless and delightful dessert featuring a split banana topped with scoops of ice cream, various sauces, whipped cream, nuts, and a cherry on top.

  • 1 large banana ripe but firm
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
  • 1 scoop chocolate ice cream
  • 1 scoop strawberry ice cream
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry sauce
  • 1 tablespoon crushed pineapple drained
  • 0.5 cup whipped cream
  • 1 tablespoon chopped nuts peanuts or walnuts
  • 1 maraschino cherry

Preparation Steps

  • Peel the banana and slice it lengthwise into two halves. Place the banana halves in a long dish, side by side, creating a "boat".
  • Place a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the center between the banana halves. Add a scoop of chocolate ice cream on one side and a scoop of strawberry ice cream on the other side.
  • Drizzle chocolate syrup over the chocolate ice cream and strawberry sauce over the strawberry ice cream. Sprinkle the crushed pineapple over the vanilla ice cream.
  • Top generously with whipped cream.
  • Sprinkle chopped nuts over the whipped cream and top with a maraschino cherry.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
