Crust

  • 1.5 cups Chocolate Wafer Cookies finely crushed
  • 0.33 cup Unsalted Butter melted

Peppermint Layer

  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese softened
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Peppermint Extract

Chocolate Layer

  • 3.9 ounces Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix
  • 3 cups Cold Milk

Topping

  • 8 ounces Whipped Topping thawed
  • 0.25 cup Crushed Peppermint Candies for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine crushed chocolate wafer cookies and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Bake for 10 minutes. Let cool completely.
  • In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Stir in peppermint extract.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk until thickened.
  • Gently spread the chocolate pudding over the cream cheese layer.
  • Spread whipped topping evenly over the chocolate pudding layer.
  • Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies over the whipped topping.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate pudding. You can also add a layer of chocolate shavings between the pudding and whipped topping.
