Instructions
Preparation Steps
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Pour the cherry pie filling evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the dry chocolate cake mix evenly over the cherry filling.
- Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix. Do not stir.
- If desired, sprinkle vanilla extract over the top for added flavor.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
- Allow to cool for 10–15 minutes before serving. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
