Chilli Chocolate Clusters

These spicy and sweet chocolate clusters are an easy and delicious treat that comes together in minutes. Perfect for a quick dessert or a festive snack!

  • 250 grams dark chocolate chopped
  • 100 grams almonds roasted and roughly chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon chili powder adjust to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon sea salt

Preparation Steps

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water, or in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each.

  • Once the chocolate is smooth and fully melted, stir in the chili powder, cinnamon, and sea salt.

  • Add the chopped roasted almonds to the melted chocolate mixture and stir until well combined.

  • Spoon clusters of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate has set.
  • Once set, carefully remove the clusters from the parchment paper. Store in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper along with the chili powder. You can also add other nuts like walnuts or pistachios for variety.
