  • 1.5 cups Chickpea Flour also known as besan or gram flour
  • 1 cup Water room temperature
  • 1 tsp Salt sea salt or kosher salt
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil extra virgin

Toppings

  • 0.5 cup Tomato Sauce marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1.5 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese low moisture, part-skim
  • 0.5 cup Sliced Bell Peppers any color
  • 0.5 cup Sliced Olives black or green

Instructions
 

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C).
  • In a large bowl, whisk together chickpea flour, water, and salt until smooth. Let the batter rest for 10 minutes.
  • Heat olive oil in a 12-inch oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Pour the chickpea batter into the skillet and spread evenly.
  • Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown and slightly set. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is set and golden brown around the edges. Remove from the oven and top with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, bell peppers, and olives.
  • Bake for another 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
