Chicken Cordon Bleu Recipe

A classic Chicken Cordon Bleu recipe with crispy breading and a flavorful ham and cheese filling.

  • 4 pieces Chicken breasts
  • 4 slices Ham
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs Eggs
  • 1.5 cups Breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Butter

Preparation Steps

  • Butterfly the chicken breasts and season with salt and pepper.
  • Place a slice of ham and two slices of cheese on each chicken breast.
  • Fold the chicken over the filling and secure with toothpicks.
  • Dredge the chicken in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the chicken on all sides.
  • Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
