Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks

Crispy, cheesy garlic breadsticks perfect for dipping! Easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser.

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2.25 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.
  • Add olive oil, flour, and salt. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place dough in a greased bowl, turning to coat. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  • Punch down the dough and roll it out to a 12x18 inch rectangle.
  • Brush with melted butter, then sprinkle with minced garlic and Parmesan cheese.
  • Cut the dough into 12 strips. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Notes
