Cheesy Chicken Fritters

Crispy, golden fritters made with tender chicken, melted cheese, and a flavorful blend of seasonings. Perfect as an appetizer, snack, or light meal.

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil, for frying

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, green onions, garlic, milk, parsley, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix until well combined.
  • Using your hands or a spoon, form the mixture into 8 small patties, about 1/2-inch thick.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook the fritters in batches for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
  • Transfer cooked fritters to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch, marinara, or honey mustard.

Notes

For a lighter version, bake the fritters at 400°F for 18-20 minutes, flipping halfway through. Ensure they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
