Cheeseburger Casserole Recipe

A hearty and comforting cheeseburger casserole that combines seasoned ground beef, pasta, cheese, and a creamy sauce for a family-friendly meal.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.25 cup diced pickles optional
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain excess fat.
  • Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
  • Add cooked macaroni and 1.5 cups of shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until combined.
  • Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle remaining 0.5 cup cheese on top.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until bubbly and cheese is melted and lightly golden.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with diced pickles if desired.

Notes

Serve with a side salad or garlic bread for a complete meal. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
