Cake Mix Chocolate Chip Cookies

Easy and delicious chocolate chip cookies made with a cake mix for a soft and chewy texture.

  • 1 box yellow cake mix 15.25 oz
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough and place them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look slightly underbaked.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

These cookies stay soft and chewy for several days when stored in an airtight container.
