Beef Stroganoff Recipe

A creamy and flavorful Beef Stroganoff recipe, perfect for a weeknight dinner. This recipe uses tender beef, mushrooms, and a rich sauce.

  • 1 lb Beef Stew Meat
  • 1 cup Mushrooms, sliced
  • 0.5 cup Sour cream
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Season beef with salt and pepper. Brown beef in butter over medium-high heat. Remove beef from pan and set aside.
  • Add mushrooms to the pan and cook until tender. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  • Gradually whisk in beef broth until smooth. Bring to a simmer, then return beef to the pan.
  • Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, or until beef is tender. Stir in sour cream and heat through. Serve over egg noodles or rice.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use a combination of beef broth and red wine.
