Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
Spread a thin layer of enchilada sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
Layer half of the tortillas over the sauce, followed by half of the beef and half of the cheese.
Repeat the layers with remaining ingredients, finishing with cheese on top.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until cheese is bubbly.
Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Feel free to add chopped green onions or sour cream as a topping for extra flavor.
