BBQ Pineapple Chicken Kabobs

Juicy chicken and sweet pineapple chunks marinated in a smoky BBQ sauce and grilled to perfection on skewers. Perfect for summer BBQs!

  • 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 cups fresh pineapple cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 0.5 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  • Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and toss to coat. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • Thread the marinated chicken and pineapple chunks onto skewers, alternating between chicken and pineapple.
  • Grill the kabobs for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before using to prevent burning.
