  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper to taste

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the ziti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in marinara sauce, salt, and pepper with the beef. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • In a baking dish, layer half of the ziti, ricotta, beef mixture, and mozzarella. Repeat layers.
  • Top with Parmesan cheese and bake for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

Let the baked ziti rest for 5 minutes before serving for easier slicing.
