Air Fryer Shrimp

Crispy, juicy shrimp cooked to perfection in the air fryer with minimal oil. A quick and healthy appetizer or main dish ready in under 15 minutes.

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on or off)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional, for heat
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Preparation Steps

  • Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels to ensure crispiness.
  • In a large bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using) until evenly coated.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  • Place the shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each for even cooking. Work in batches if necessary.
  • Air fry for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until shrimp are pink and opaque with lightly golden edges.
  • Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Notes

For extra flavor, serve with a side of cocktail sauce or garlic aioli.
