Air Fryer Chicken Thighs

  • 4 pieces bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels. This helps achieve crispy skin.
  • In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken thighs.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
  • Place chicken thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, skin side up. Do not overcrowd.
  • Air fry for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is golden and crispy.
  • Let rest for 3–5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, lightly spray the chicken skin with cooking oil before air frying.
