Instructions
Preparation Steps
Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels. This helps achieve crispy skin.
In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken thighs.
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
Place chicken thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, skin side up. Do not overcrowd.
Air fry for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is golden and crispy.
Let rest for 3–5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, lightly spray the chicken skin with cooking oil before air frying.
