Ingredients
- 1 tbsp liquid smoke measured
- 1 tbsp soy sauce measured
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder measured
- 1/2 tsp onion powder measured
- 1/8 tsp smoked paprika measured
- 1/16 tsp black pepper measured
- 1 tbsp brown sugar measured
- 2 tbsp pure maple syrup measured
- 2 large carrots trimmed, peeled, and sliced into long thin strips
- as needed olive oil spray for the air-fryer basket
Instructions
Combine the liquid smoke, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, brown sugar, and maple syrup in a medium bowl.
Trim and peel the carrots, then slice them into long, thin strips with a sharp knife or mandoline.
Pour the marinade into a flat container, add the carrot strips, and turn them so both sides are coated. Marinate for 30 to 60 minutes.
Preheat the air fryer to 350°F and spritz the basket with olive oil.
Arrange the carrot strips in a single layer and air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Transfer the cooked strips to a cooling rack without stacking and let them rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
