  • 3 cups Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Butter Softened

  • 1 cup 7-Up Soda Original flavor

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease and flour a tube pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the lemon and vanilla extracts.
  • Gradually add the flour, alternating with the 7-Up, beginning and ending with the flour. Beat until just combined.
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For an extra touch, drizzle with a simple glaze made from powdered sugar and a bit of 7-Up soda.
